We had a little over 100 people at the 2016 Spring Thaw in Cambridge, MD in early May. Thursday was very gloomy but we managed to get in a tour of the city and others did a longer ride.
Below is Fred Carson in front of the Sultana in Cambridge. One of our other riders helped build this replica of the shortest ship ever in the British Navy and a coastal freighter.
Friday it rained. A few managed to ride to lunch in St Michaels but most visited the winery, distillery, museum and stores. Saturday and Sunday we had spectacular weather. Saturday was the Six Pillars Century.
This eagle and osprey were looking over the riders on the ride. Sunday we rode to Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. We enjoyed seeing lots of birds, especially on the Wildlife Trail through the refuge.
